going to ask if i can repaint my room for my birthday lol im scareddd i think im going to get berated bc i got to choose what colour i wanted it painted when we moved here 2.5 years ago but ive hated it ever since i moved in ive regretted it from the very start... if i am going to be living in this room for the whole summer i at least want it to be a colour that doesnt depress me

#its like a dusty sage green which is a colour i really like! it just really doesn't work in my room.. if it was just an accent wall i think #it would be fine but on all 4 walls its so suffocating and my room gets no sunlight so it always feels really grey and drab the colour is #just not bright enough...#& also i have a green rug and green bedding (both of which i love so theyre staying it's the walls that need to go) so it's just too much #green it feels so weird and unbalanced #i think i want just plain white walls & then theres a really thick trim between the ceiling and walls which i want to be a deep dusty pink?#but i have to think about it more. and find out if my mother will actually let me lol

do you ever not dream for extended amounts of time then the one time you do dream it’s really fucking vivid

#bc i barely dream but i just had the most fucking vivid dream of my life dude #so i was in this old woman i don’t knows house and it was modernly decorated she had carpet beige walls etc #she also had white and pink tulle hang drying from her ceiling like halfway down on the whole second floor #i couldn’t get to her top floor either i was literally restricted to the first and second floor #anyways so i go really slowly to her room since i couldn’t move fast and her room is normal it has a bed; typical grandmother stuff #i go to leave and i notice she has this closet where it’s like a reading nook?#it’s insanely dark inside the closet; you could tell it was shallow but no light was getting in at all. in front of the entrance there was #a curtain of green plush bats hung upside down instead of a door; in the style of those baby plushes. in front of them also was a sign that #read “your child is reading upside down!” at taht point i could make out small details and a lot of things like a wood chair were hung upsi #upside down.#she was also communicating with me through tumblr but not directly to me; vaguely about me with her two teenage daughters #it was odd and really vivid and the second dream i’ve had like that except last time there was no pink and white tulle drying everywhere #sodaramblestoomuch #if you read all that thank you i feel sorry for you

i suddenly realised that i have nothing in my house that's my alleged favourite colour (a kinda pastel-y lilac-y cornflower blue) and THANK GOODNESS the company i bought my other paint from doesn't seem to have that shade because it would take every ounce of my self restraint to stop myself from ordering it right now

#you know when you come out of a few days feeling deathly sad and you suddenly have all the (emotional. not physical i'm so tired) energy in #the world and you want to do everything including paint your house a new colour.#me rn :P #.... i'll be honest they do free testers and there are 2 shades that are potentially Right and i do have a tiny weird room in my house #that's like. where 3 rooms meet so there's only really 1 wall and then the space above the 3 doors so #it really would not take much painting...........#If it was magically free and in my house i would paint it tomorrow :P #if i was doing this i could also get a pastel pink tester and then it would be pink ceiling blue walls white trim (:

Just hit with a wave of inspiration of ways to decorate my apartment that I simply cannot afford </3

#so im rainbow washi taping the outer walls of my cabinets #and might tape the doors black and white #and i want to put dark wallpaper up in my living room #and then draw on it with glow in the dark markers witj friends #and then that made me want glow in the dark ceiling decals to put everywhere #and in the living room id have an accent wall with black washi tape grids #and in my bathroom id tape the cabinet pink and white and maybe some green #and i want to learn to tuft rugs 😭#BUT good news is my brother found a tv stand (which i need) thats $10 at a thrift store #and im thinking i could paint that to kill some of the itch that cant be satsified by the washi tape ideas
